Data Use Agreement
Submit a Data Use Agreement for review when Penn State receives or accesses data from another party.
Guidance
A Data Use Agreement (DUA) is an agreement from a Data Provider that requires a signature, that can be electronically accepted, or that must be acknowledged in some other way to receive data from another party.
Contract Submission and Contacts
Determine the appropriate submission before requesting a DUA review.
Research
- Submit research-related DUAs in accordance with the Office of Sponsored Programs Data Use Agreement instructions. When required, submit a separate College of Medicine Data Use Agreement.
Non-Research
- Submit non-research-related DUAs for goods and services to Central Procurement.
- If associated with a purchase order, upload the agreement to the Create Non-Catalog Purchase Requisition (ServiceNow); otherwise, submit a contract request for review.
